The Careers Service is prepared to publicise opportunities from recruitment agencies subject to specific criteria. These criteria include those laid down in the Code of Best Practice agreed between the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), and the National Union of Students (NUS). They are:
That we know the identity of the employer and that we can publish the name of the employer on our vacancy notice.
That we are provided with a job description, and where possible background material on the organisation, such as brochures, annual reports or a web address, for potential applicants to study.
That we are satisfied that the employer has commissioned the agency to act on their behalf. If the employer is already in direct contact with the Careers Service, we need the specific agreement of that employer that they wish to handle this vacancy through the employment agency rather than by direct application to themselves.
That the agency only interviews for those employers whose jobs appear on the vacancy notice.
